Fire Safety

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

This requires 'the responsible person' to carry out a suitable and sufficient assessment of the risks on the premises. What form the assessment takes will be dependent on the type and size of premises or undertaking concerned.

The Fire Risk Competency Council recommends that those carrying out the service 'have independent registration with, or certification from, a professional or certification body and that they meet the competency criteria'

Our qualifications meet the criterion used by professional and certification bodies that register or certificate fire risk assessors and by commercial companies that provide fire risk assessment services. I am an Associate Member of the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers; the IFPO represents fire safety professionals across all sectors including manufacturing, transport and fire and rescue services
